Despite the objections of his wife Anna (Florinda Bolkan), Steve Wallace (Kirk Douglas), who has just been released from prison, wants to make one last big crack. Together with Marco (Giuliano Gemma), a circus worker, Wallace wants to rob $1 million from a safe in Germany that is said to be unbreakable.
