Because of my curiosity I had to see it once.

By far the most bizarre movie I've ever seen.

There were some really funny moments in it, although in general that crazy Japanese humor doesn't bother me. That was actually the case here, apart from those few moments.

Of course, that 'hidden camera' image quality did not really contribute to a pleasant viewing experience.

Decided to finish my second Miike anyway, mainly because it had just enough to do to stay interesting.

Absurd and therefore intriguing to a certain extent. Unfortunately, if you look further, it is nothing more than that absurdity that makes an impression. There are some funny things in it, but afterwards I have no idea what it was about and what I was watching. Too bad, could have been fun. I'm afraid Miike isn't my kind of director, although I had hoped otherwise. 2.5*

There are those movies where the motivation to write about it is so low that you only write a quick scribble about it, or nothing at all of course. Visitor Q is an ideal example in this regard, as it is a film that is so far out of my taste that an ultimate low rating is inevitable. Then if you're wondering, "But Shadowed, why are you watching the movie?" I can tell you this wasn't my choice. I was jokingly told to watch at a movie event because those jokers knew very well what I would think.

To keep my review short: ridiculous humor, bloody annoying characters, terrible looks, visually abominable and downright uncomfortable. The latter is of course the intention, but I think it is a childish solution to attract a large audience with little money. Thanks to a still nice flow I could at least appreciate something, but it made me completely miserable. Not because it would have shocked me so much, but because this just isn't my kind of movie at all. Some call it a hilarious comedy. I call it filthy scum. Would also like to see the average if Miike's name wasn't on it.
