New Yorkers Bill (Benny) and Connie Fuller (Sheridan) are forced to leave their apartment. Unbeknownst to Bill, Connie buys a ranch house in Pennsylvania, and it is suspected that George Washington spent the night there during the American Revolution. When the couple tries to arrange the place, they encounter many problems.
