Maid for Each Other plot

Tibby (Dinah Manoff) is an attractive young widow with a mountain of debt. Her mother Leila (Joyce Van Patten) advises her to hook up with a rich guy as soon as possible to get out of financial trouble, but Tibby wants to stand on her own two feet. The problem is that Tibby can do nothing but spend money, organize parties and fill closets with nice clothes. Black pop singer Jasmine (Nell Carter), who has a reputation as a great witch and a bully to her staff, is looking for a housekeeper. Tibby overcomes her pride and takes the thankless job. Barely a day at home, the body of Jasmine's ex, Harold, is found in the morning. Jasmine has nothing to do with his death and doesn't understand how he could have turned up to her in such a lifeless state. The two women drag Harry's soulless body to his flat and erase all possible traces. The next morning the remains are back. Both women decide to track down the perpetrators, because they realize that the police will not believe their story. Before long, the strong arm is on their heels too.
