Funny that some of my predecessors here see the woman as a victim, I see it very differently, but that may be because I am a man. Anyway, an entertaining story that never gets boring, a pity about the somewhat irritating voice over. Furthermore, the cast also plays properly, Henson does a good job as a shrew, although the ending was a bit too much. But all in all a nice video.

Gets 5.8 on imbd and 18% on Rotten Tomatoes, so I'm not the only one who thinks this is an annoying boring movie, this isn't a masterpiece, this is just annoying mess....and indeed that annoying sleep-inducing voice over.. .

One more thing, it is really ridiculous that it is clear that the same man is a completely different man at a later age, certainly in large, it may be something credible, right....

As a director, Tyler Perry is not exactly the most endearing figure in the business, but as a screenwriter he certainly shows his qualities. Acrimony is (hopefully) the result if you take Perry away from his Madea films. A nuanced look at the lives of a man and woman, each with his or her own problems. The great thing about the film is that a discussion is actually made possible because it leaves unclear who the real victim is. If you ask me personally, it's the wrong attitude to take sides in Acrimony, as they both make extremely bad mistakes. The increase in pressure and the progression of the story barely make the 120 minutes a long sit. However, things go wrong in the finale, where Perry looks for sensation a bit too emphatically. Furthermore, a solid and above all fascinating drama thriller that makes the viewer think enough. Lyriq Bent acts excellently.
