Around 1900, Casey (Wallace Beery) is a trader, hardest-hit baseball player of the local club and - next to Putham - city barber, Camille's most persistent candidate. Casey is drafted into the New York Giants by O'Dowd. In New York, Casey gains popularity by giving as many rounds as possible while having everything put into Putham's account. Casey's rival, who is also after Camille, plans to get him drunk, causing him to miss the most important game. Casey manages to arrive in time, but hits the ball. However, it turns out to have been no ordinary ball...
