L'Orchestre des Aveugles plot
In the early years of Hassan II's reign, Houcine, a fan of his new king, is the leader of a popular band. He lives with his wife Halima in her family's house, a place of liveliness and colorful characters that intersect with the rhythm of life of the band and its traditional dancers, the Chikhaten. In this band, the male musicians are forced to pretend to be blind people, so that they can play in the homes of conservative Moroccan families at parties that are reserved for women. Houcine is also Mimou's happy father. In Mimou's life dream and reality are intertwined and because of this he cannot concentrate well at school.
