Strange, apparently I expected a very strong Drama with high emotions, not so...

The slow, atmospheric build-up suggested the best, but once the revenge action gets underway I found it quite tedious and it seemed as if this film never really got going. I didn't mind the fateful incident at all, most of the youth on duty clearly thought otherwise. Pretty bizarre isn't it because who cares if something bad happens to the school bully and bully...?

The fact remains that, if you, like me, don't mind the dramatic incident, you won't find the sequel to this Drama very interesting either, although I have to admit that it's not that bad after all.

The images look beautiful, the soundtrack is atmospheric and the child actors play very well.

6/10.

Not bad for a debut film, but unfortunately I didn't think it was a high flyer, well...

Liked this suit better than his most recent film Don't Let Go (2019) Another nice drama, okay sounds quite paradoxical, mean a drama that came through well, a bit of that rawness and typical atmosphere throughout the film. Pretty simple premise, but well executed. As a viewer you empathize with Sam first, then some sympathy for George grows, Marty comes across as the asshole and then it changes again. I think it's a nice experience. I like this kind of drama.

Nice film that reminded me of Deliverance (1972). Plot of course not completely parallel, but in terms of atmosphere and setting we are close. In itself always entertaining to see a film that revolves around (adventurous) young people. Is often light-hearted, not unnecessarily complex and also often has something heroic or idyllic, if only the fine setting from the 80s or 90s. ET, The Goonies, Stranger things, The summer of 84 ...

Fijin's starting point too...until something actually goes wrong and the dilemma surfaces with "What now?". I was "in" the movie and empathized with the characters. All in all, not much had happened and it was really an accident. The film was captivating because of the good characters and the good acting. Exciting and adventurous too. You live towards the climax and even then the level is maintained.

Nice ending that I found less evident within Hollywood standards. Definitely nice to catch up with if you can.
