Pilgrimage plot
"Everyone Who Has a Mother Must See It!"
mrs. Hannah Jessop lives with her son Jimmy on a farm in Arkansas. However, her son is becoming more and more independent and even wants to leave her to marry a girl. mrs. However, Jessop doesn't like the girl's family and gives her son up for the army. When she waves him off at the station, the girl tells Mrs. Jessop that she is pregnant and Jimmy can no longer assist her.
