Provoked: A True Story plot
"Provoked" tells the fact-based story of Kiranjit Ahluwalia. This Indian woman left for England to marry an Indian man living in London. Her marriage turns out to be hell, and her husband is constantly drunk. After several attempts to stop him, she kills him. While in prison, she befriends a white woman (Miranda Richardson). This woman is so shocked after hearing her story that she decides to ask for help. She enlists the help of her stepbrother (Robbie Coltrane). This one is a highly regarded consul.
