Recount plot
"The future of the nation was hanging by a …chad."
Recount is about the five weeks after the presidential election in 2000 between George W. Bush and Al Gore, in which it is not clear who has the most votes in Florida. Ron Klain (Kevin Spacey), former chief of staff to Al Gore, and Warren Chrisopher (John Hurt), the Florida district supervisor, both try to prove their point.
