Idealisten plot
"He revealed the lie, so we could know the truth"
Near Thule Air Force Base in Greenland, on January 21, 1968, four Americans abandon a B-52 bomber carrying four hydrogen bombs after a cabin fire. The plane plunges into the sea and the detonating bombs scatter their nuclear payload. Two days later, the US and Danish authorities announce that the area has been checked and there is no radiological threat. Meanwhile, hundreds of Danish workers are mobilized in Thule for a massive clean-up campaign. After eight months of work, all traces of the crash and the plutonium contamination have disappeared. 18 years later, young journalist Paul Brink is contacted by one of the employees who claims that a mysterious skin disease was caused by the operation. Brink is skeptical at first, but then decides to investigate.
