Those about to Die plot
During the height of the Roman Empire, the population became increasingly bored, restless and violent. The people are kept in line mainly by two things: free food and spectacular entertainment in the form of chariot races and gladiator fights. The games are so popular that they have become a national institution that provides millions of people - including animal catchers, horse breeders, gun makers and doctors - with a livelihood. The Roman economy is so dependent on their success that any attempt to end the games or limit their barbarism would mean certain economic collapse. Several people from all corners of the Roman Empire soon collide at the explosive intersection of sports, politics and dynasties.

I expected a bit more from it, but nevertheless it is certainly not a bad series. It all takes place in the same place and that makes it a little less good. The acting is fine. The story about those drivers and the family who are taken away is fine. But it doesn't really grab you. There are certainly nice and good parts in it, but also a lot of bad parts. Skinny 7.

Pfff, this is so disappointing. I think Sir Anthony Hopkins got 90% of the entire budget.
It already starts in the intro scene that the position of the knife is incorrect in the 2 shots
Then you already have me. Such mistakes in the first minute. Don't they check that when releasing or is your budget already gone??

When you act, your hair stands on end. Really low B level, even from the great actors.
Then you also see posters in the background as if you were watching the local theater school.
And I haven't even mentioned the 90s effects and animations.
