21 Jump Street season 1

Fun 80's-early 90's police series about an experimental unit of young-looking undercover cops who take on criminal teenagers led by the stern but fair captain Adam Fuller (Steve Williams). One of the officers, Tom Hansen, was played by Johnny Depp before he was a strange alcoholic. You also had many now very famous actors and actresses in guest roles such as Brad Pitt, Josh Brolin, Vince Vaughn, Sherilyn Fenn, Kelly Hu and Jada Pinkett. Themes varied from drugs, violence, discrimination, prostitution, incest, teenage pregnancy, anorexia and AIDS. You also see the change from the typical 80's punk culture to the urban (hood) culture of the 90's. Even in the change in that hood culture you can clearly see. From the flashy Run DMC style (old school Adidas tracksuits, high top sneakers and large chains) to the more Gangsta style that was later worn by rappers such as NWA and Cypres Hill. This series is therefore mainly a nostalgia because quite dated. Incidentally, he still looks away fine because adolescent problems are of all times and actually always the same. The clothes, music, hairstyles, cars and equipment change but people and their problems don't.
