Chaussée d'Amour plot
Sylvia is a neat woman who has everything: a man who earns a lot, an expensive villa and two children. When her marriage collapses and a huge debt is incurred, she has to flee. Out of necessity, she takes up residence above the brothel she inherited from her father. She becomes the linchpin in a web of hookers, pimps and other colorful characters. One day, when a corpse is found under the asphalt of the famous paved road, the Chaussée d'Amour community shudders. A dogged detective shows up and Sylvia realizes that she can only be happy if she gets rid of demons from her past.

This series seems to have been successful. However, she is not miraculous. Far from.
If the scenario and the location open the way for a lot of sensation, then that can safely be classified under "creation of atmosphere", but what really bothers this series is the superficiality - character drawing included - and the absurdity in which the entire series is bathed or what thought you like a mother (?) who, with her two teenage children, just wanted to live above a whorehouse and even becomes "madame" or the ridiculous role that Dirk Roofthooft has to play as the unbalanced detective..
Towards the end - not the closing scenes as they are ludicrous and open the way to a sequel, but not seeing me - there is some suspense as a 20 year old murder is cleared up, just enough to keep the series, a lot of good will, a very, very modest 3.
