To-the-point British drama by the famous Stephen Frears about the ITV-created and broadcast game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Known in the Netherlands as Lotto Weekend Millionaires. In three episodes a nice picture is sketched of the (alleged) theft of 1 million pounds by prize winner Major Charles Ingram. The first two episodes build up tension, the final episode partly takes place in court. With good actors (Michael Sheen as Robert ten Brink) in a smooth screenplay. Perhaps a bit fragmentary at times, an episode could have been added, but the time frame and atmosphere are striking. For this true story, of course, there is only one real million pound question: did our major cheat or not?
