At the age of 66, you will deliver a debut in which you combine the art forms you admire - painting, film and music - into an animated film that steams along like an express train, in which you as a viewer finally let go of all logic and surrender to the insight that you can never see everything in all 24 images per second, let alone let everything sink in, after which you hang exhausted in your cinema seat afterwards, wondering which 90% of painting and film history you have missed, so much has every image been impregnated with an infinite number of artistic details, while the song Even the bad times are good by the Tremeloes keeps hopping around in your head and you wonder outside on the street whether the good man has chosen the right medium for his hurricane of ideas and inventions, to finally conclude that it is due to your own powers of perception and that so be it, because not everyone can be like the snail at the beginning and the end of the film that the express train survives.

A series of boring art heists and a vague, barely existent plot that is further undermined by flashbacks and nightmares that only serve to cram as many references to existing artists and their artworks into this heist film as possible. The nightmares in particular provide some visually beautiful moments, but Krstic has thrown story, characterization and tension building overboard in favor of stylization and a dated interpretation of being 'cool'. In a shorter format that would probably have been enough, but it is by far not enough to keep a film of this running time interesting.

A remarkable animated film about art, but I thought it was well done. Very nicely designed, with 3D animations, it looked good. The soundtrack was also nicely done, newer songs in a jazz sauce, but also some classics, it was a nice mix. The story itself was also cool and the film also contained many action scenes. Still pleasantly surprised by this film.
