This first feature film by Nakache and Toledano is a fun tragicomedy with Depardieu and Rouve, who play two friends who can't touch a woman (anymore). They scour speed dates and wedding parties of strangers in search of the right one. They become disillusioned more than once. There is a tragic note in this film about the superficiality of relationships, loneliness and the connection between them. I found the balance between humor and tragedy of their situation to work well. Rouve is also not outplayed by Depardieu here and plays a clumsy and lazy character who lingers.
