North Hollywood plot
Mikey is a high school student determined to become a pro skater. His father Oliver believes he wants the best for Mikey. His wish is for his son to go to college and follow the "traditional" route of life after adolescence. Mikey tries to find a balance by spending time with his two best friends, Jay and Adolf, pursuing a career in skateboarding and building a relationship with Rachel, the girl he falls for. However, the father-son relationship between Oliver and Mikey suffers.
