An entertaining film not least by Tea Leonie who played the role of special agent.

I like smart girls, she played the part convincingly. I'm willing to risk a few weeks of arguing for her at home.

For the car enthusiasts there were some mistakes. The car was a 250GT Lusso a derivative of the 250 GT series. A 250GTO Lusso was mentioned in the film, that type does not exist.

The most spectacular 250 is the 250 GTO of which only 39 were made. The final auction price was USD 70 million plus auction fees.

Furthermore, a striking cast in which a number of actors from older series had roles.

Nothing to complain about, just good workmanship.

The hassle with the car at the end was indeed rather unlikely. There is no law in film land that says everything has to be realistic. Not disturbing for me.

Nothing to fault with the technique and the direction.

Rating 3.5*, very well deserved.

Ben Stiller has by now made more comically boring films than fun ones, with Greenberg and The Meyerowitz Stories as low points. Zoolander is also not for me. I started this film with some reluctance, but I was surprised and treated to a fine comedy about bumbling occasional crooks.

Also nice to see Eddie Murphy again, who has barely done anything nice since 48 Hrs and Beverly Hills Cop. A supporting role suits him well.

The big stunt scene was somehow dizzying. I don't know if I suddenly developed a huge fear of heights, but I was really uncomfortable in my chair. And that is one of the merits of this film.

Nice uncomplicated film with an 80s/90s atmosphere.

3 stars

The employees of a prestigious hotel decide to take revenge on their employer Arthur Shaw [Alan Alda] when he is found to have committed bond fraud that has caused their pensions to go up in smoke. Manager Josh Kovaks [Ben Stiller] enlists the help of tout Slide [Eddie Murphy] and Wall Street pundit Mr. Fitzhugh [Matthew Broderick] to break into Shaw's room and loot his safe. The problem is that Shaw is under house arrest until his trial and Special Agent Claire Denham [Téa Leoni] is guarding the place. Murphy shines in his stereotypical role, but otherwise this is well cast with Alda, Michael Peña and Stephen McKinley Henderson as outliers. An unpretentious, smooth and entertaining crime comedy.
