"When life falls apart, friends keep it together"
Milly and Jess have always been best friends. Since childhood, they have shared everything: secrets, clothes, humor and boyfriends. Now they are trying to grow up. Milly has a good job and lives in a beautiful mansion with her husband Kit and their two children. Jess is an urban planner and she and her boyfriend live on a houseboat in a London canal. However, their friendship is jeopardized when Jess desperately wants a baby and Milly discovers she has breast cancer.

Touching film with many nice moments. The chemistry between Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette is bursting and the rest of the cast is also in good shape in this wonderful but also touching film with a laugh and a tear. A well-deserved eight so 4 *

Despite the fact that the subject is not very original, it is still a nice comic drama about friendship and life with cancer. The two ladies play well and the atmosphere is good. Sometimes light, sometimes funny and sometimes emotional. If you have experienced such a situation, this film cannot leave you unmoved, I sometimes had to swallow hard. Despite the fact that it has been done many times before, I think this is a successful performance, which is entirely due to the good acting of Barrymore and Collette.

Solid drama of friends, in which quite a bit of misery is thrown together. There is hardly any reason to label this as a comedy, although Drew Barrymore does her best to lighten the story here and there. Not bad for a low budget film.
